NOVAR 1414 (3Ph)

NOVAR 1414 power factor controller is designed for applications with great or variable load unbalance. It separately measures currents in all three phases and evaluates a precise three-phase power factor. This value is used for the section control. The design is based on the NOVAR 1214 model - the two additional current inputs are its only significant mechanical difference.

Communication Options
Serial line: all types of NOVAR 11xx, 12xx, 13xx and 14xx can be ordered wit an optional galvanically isolated serial communication line (RS-485).
Ethernet: Optionally the NOVAR 1xxx line of PFC can be equiped with embedded Ethernet port for TCP/IP network communication. Existing older instruments can be connected to Ethernet with ES 101 serial-to-ethernet adapter. The newest NOVAR 2xxx line comes with optional native Ethernet support built-in the instrument.
GSM/GPRS: Together with KM GPRS or similar modem each controller can be also monitored remotely over the cellular network.
On the remote computer with ENVIS software instaled users can perform all common instrument management tasks - the configuration of an instrument, acquisition, archiving and data analysis etc. With additional modules the connected appliances can be remotely monitored and the software is also capable to generate reports on predefined situations. Open and documented Modbus RTU/TCP and KMB long/short protocols are available. For simple visualisation a general 3-rd party SCADA with Modbus support can be also used.
ENVIS.Online systems service runs in the background and manages all the tasks related to the instrument in an nonobtrusive manner. In case of alarms or whe the monitored quantities are out of its limits the service can immediately inform its users over email or SMS. Values of all commonly measured quantities are displayed on screen of the management PC as system gadgets. Thanks to these additional functions the operator can monitor state of the installation and immediatelly fix any type of problem such as burnt fuse or step failure. This proactive aproach helps to avoid unnescessary costs.
